Mr Vasukutty is currently a consultant orthopaedic foot and ankle surgeon with his NHS practice based in United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust. Besides elective foot and ankle work, he deals with general orthopaedic trauma and diabetic foot reconstruction. After completing his foot and ankle fellowship training in Southampton University Hospital and University Hospital of South Manchester, he completed a Diabetic Foot Fellowship in Kings College Hospital.
He has maintained a keen interest in research and has over 20 publications in foot and ankle surgery and hip arthroplasty in addition to over 30 national and international presentations. Charcot foot reconstruction and local antibiotic carriers in foot infection are his current research interests. Mr Vasukutty is actively involved in teaching as part of Lincoln Medical School and teaches at preparatory courses for the FRCS. He lectures on diabetic foot surgery in regional and national meetings.
Long distance running and South Indian Classical music are his major passions outside work and he uses these to unwind and keep himself sane.
