Awards nomination is a tribute to hospital staff
It’s off to London we go for the LaingBuisson Awards, celebrating businesses that set new standards of excellence in health and social care.
We were delighted in September to share the news that St Hugh’s Hospital had reached the final of the prestigious awards – a testament not only to the dedicated team who provide an outstanding level of care, but also in our rapid response to ensure safety and quality throughout the pandemic.
We are one of five finalists for the Hospital Award under the Clinical Services section, meeting the judging criteria of ‘excellence in the provision of acute or mental health services with a focus on innovation and differentiation as a result of an individual hospital initiative or investment’.
Overall, there are 30 categories, and there were 490 nominations in total… and tonight is the ceremony in London.
The LaingBuisson Awards, now in their 16th year, recognises and celebrates industry excellence and innovative services in the public, private and third sectors. Leaders from across the sector come together to hear and celebrate each other’s successes and growth.
A spokesperson for the awards said: “This year we received a record-breaking number of nominations for every single category, with 490 entries in total. The competition was extremely tough, and decisions were very hard.”
We hope to be successful, of course, but whatever the outcome, our staff are already winners by achieving the nomination in the first place. Watch this space for an update.
