Facemasks

We welcome all patients to wear a facemask in our hospital if they would like to. Masks are available from reception on request, or in any of our clinical areas. Staff will be happy to wear a mask on patient request.

Inpatients

We do not admit Covid positive patients at Sancta Maria. If you are unwell or symtomatic of any respiratory illness, or have had a positive Covid test, please do not attend the hospital and call to confirm with the bookings team.

Outpatients

Please only attend the hospital if you are feeling well. Please do not attend the hospital if you are currently positive to Covid. You are welcome to wear a face mask. These are available at reception on request. Outpatient attendees are asked to attend either alone, or with 1 person if needed. Please do not attend with children. There are facilities at regular points throughout the hospital for sanitising your hands.

Visiting Policy

We are happy to welcome visitors for overnight patients staying in a single patient room. Visiting is between 6pm-7pm, Monday to Friday. We ask that you only visit at this time. 1 visitor only and we ask that you do not bring children to the hospital.

Covid vaccine/ having Covid

Your surgery can go ahead if you have received the vaccine. However, we do advise that there is 10 days between having the vaccine and your operation date.
