Ride with the Pros

St Hugh’s Hospital holds three cycling events per year in partnership with NEL Lyndsey Roads C.C. who we partner in promoting cycling in North East Lincolnshire. As a health promotion activity cycling fits the bill perfectly being a great way to burn calories without impacting on joints etc. It also lends itself easily to being a very social activity with friends. Our joint aim is simply to get people active and on to bikes.

Through our support of JLT Condor professional cycling team, we invite a number of professional riders to St Hugh’s to ride with the general public to make these events that little bit special & to attract more people.

The rides are split in to several groups based on ability & pace to cater for all manner of riders from dedicated “Club” riders to novices in their own designated group on a shorter, flatter route to the others. All groups are accompanied by experienced riders from NELLRCC who know the route and ensure no one is left alone.

The rides are getting progressively getting more and more popular with over 100 participants at the last Ride with the Pros event.
