#StHughsUpClose

We have well and truly ushered in the New Year… so now we are saying hello to a new feature on our social media channels.

The idea came about during a chat about what goes on ‘behind the scenes’ at St Hugh’s Hospital – all those tasks, functions, and general bits and bobs that, as a rule, the general public never get to see… including all the (sometimes mind-boggling) equipment that’s part of everyday life in a hospital.

The result of all that ruminating (and mulling over a few mince pies during our festive break, of course) is a new game, just for fun, using the hashtag #StHughsUpClose , for our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter feeds.

And we are starting small – literally! Our very own Gary Allington, in charge of facilities and health promotion at St Hugh’s, has been around the hospital, camera in hand, taking close-up and minute photos of intriguing objects. The game for you is to guess what they are before the answer – in the form of a full-sized photo – is revealed.

So look out for the #StHughsUpClose hashtag appearing on our social channels, and get involved. To give you a head start, the first mystery object will be appearing on our Socials, Monday 8am with the reveal at 6pm and here’s a clue: This is vital for your vitals.

That’s all we are giving away… for now! Go on, have a guess by commenting on the #StHughsUpClose post on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. See you there!
