When To Go To A&E

St Hugh’s Hospital does not have an Accident and Emergency (A&E) Department. For urgent or life-threatening conditions, please go directly to your nearest A&E, to ensure that you receive the appropriate level of care as quickly as possible.

You should go straight to an Accident and Emergency department if you experience any of the following signs or symptoms:

– Severe chest pain

– Sudden difficulty breathing

– Uncontrolled bleeding

– Sudden weakness or numbness, especially if it affects one side of the body

– Loss of consciousness

– Serious injuries, such as those caused by accidents or falls

– Severe allergic reactions

For all urgent and life-threatening conditions, please do not attend St Hugh’s Hospital; instead, go directly to A&E to ensure you receive the appropriate level of care as quickly as possible.
