Dr Szebenyi is a consultant rheumatologist works in the Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby also in Scunthorpe General Hospital and in Goole and District Hospital. He qualified as a medical doctor in 1980 at the Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary. He has a long established research link with the University of Bristol.

Dr Szebenyi’s main interest within rheumatology is rheumatoid arthritis, systemic vasculitis, polymyaliga rheumatica and osteoarthritis, however, he treats patients within the wide range of musculoskeletal medicine including acute and chronic neck and back pain, primary fibromyalgia syndrome and various forms of soft tissue rheumatism.
