Dr Sarwar is a Consultant Gastroenterologist based in Grimsby. He has gained extensive experience in the management of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) through his training and through managing extensive cohort of IBD patients in his NHS practice. Dr Sarwar offers management of dyspepsia, dysphagia due to variety of reasons, Barrett’s oesophagus, peptic ulcer disease, functional bowel diseases like irritable bowel syndrome, pancreatic diseases and variety of liver and biliary disorders.

He has extensive experience in both diagnostic and therapeutic upper gastrointestinal procedures. He provides endoscopic therapy for oesophageal and gastric varices including band ligation, sclerotherapy and the use of Histoacryl glue, oesophageal dilatation for strictures, endoscopic therapy for bleeding peptic ulcers, insertion of percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy feeding tubes and insertion of naso-jejunal tubes,

Dr Sarwar has extensive experience in diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy and provides snare polypectomy, removal of polyps by endo-mucosal resection technique and angiodysplasia treatment with argon plasma coagulation.
