HMT St Hugh’s Hospital Wins Local Innovation Award
The Healthcare Management Trust’s St Hugh’s Hospital were the winners of the Health and Care Excellence award in innovation, this past week, crowning a remarkable achievement for all staff at the organisation.
The Health and Care Excellence awards, sponsored by Navigo, selected St Hugh’s as a nominee based on the positive difference made across the health and care services by their teams. Using an evidence based and research led approach to find solutions quickly without causing unnecessary delays. This work is reflected across the whole of the hospital, with innovative patient-focused care at the forefront of their work.
Ellen Colley, Hospital Director for St Hugh’s remarked “This achievement reflects our commitment to delivering exceptional patient care through innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement. It is a testament to the dedication, expertise and creativity of our colleagues, who consistently strive to find new ways to enhance patient outcomes and experience.”.
The award meant a great deal to the team, with a specific focus on the individual staff at the hospital. Emily Maddison, Ward POD and Pre-op Manager stated “I’m incredibly proud of everyone involved, particularly our outpatient colleagues, who work tirelessly to optimise patients’ health ahead of elective surgery and ensure they are as prepared as possible for their treatment”
It’s been an incredibly positive year for St Hugh’s, with various award nominations such as the Best Provider of Outpatient Services. Coupled with a gold standard by the National Joint Registry for Commitment to Patient Safety and an overall Good rating by the Care Quality Commission.
