St Hugh’s Hospital shortlisted for Local Health and Care Excellence Award
St Hugh’s Hospital is celebrating after being shortlisted for an award at the Local Health and Care Excellence Award 2026.
The hospital has been shortlisted in the Innovation Award – sponsored by Navigo, recognising the innovative work taking place at St Hugh’s and its commitment to delivering high-quality care and continually improving the experience for its patients.
The Health and Care Excellence Awards judging panels selected St Hugh’s from the nominations received, with the shortlist representing organisations and teams making a positive difference across health and care.
The awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday 23 September 2026 at the Pelham Suite in Grimsby, where St Hugh’s will discover whether it has been named the winner or receives a Highly Commended award.
Commenting on the shortlist, Ellen Colley, Hospital Director at St Hugh’s Hospital, said:
“We are absolutely delighted to have been shortlisted for the Innovation Award. To have our work recognised in this way is a fantastic achievement and a real testament to the commitment, creativity and hard work of everyone at St Hugh’s.
“Innovation is about finding better ways of doing things and, ultimately, improving the care and experience we provide. We are incredibly proud of our team and look forward to celebrating with colleagues at the awards ceremony in September.”
The St Hugh’s team will now look forward to the ceremony and finding out whether it will take home the Innovation Award trophy.
