Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) for Hair (Coming Soon)
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Hair Therapy
Concerned about thinning hair?
Changes to your hair can happen for many different reasons.
At St Hugh's Hospital, PRP therapy is available for suitable patients experiencing hair thinning or as part of care following hair transplantation.
PRP stands for Platelet-Rich Plasma.
A small sample of your own blood is taken and processed in a centrifuge to separate its components and prepare platelet-rich plasma.
The prepared PRP is then administered to the selected area of the scalp.
Hair thinning can have different causes, which means PRP won’t necessarily be appropriate for everyone.
Your appointment gives you the opportunity to discuss your concerns, medical history and expectations before deciding whether treatment should be considered.
PRP for hair thinning or post-hair transplant – £180.
