In our new feature, we find out more about the people here at St Hugh’s. First up is Tonya…

Job title: Receptionist

How long have you been at St Hugh’s: Eleven-and-a-half years.

What you love about your job: I really enjoy meeting and dealing with the great variety of patients and visitors to St Hugh’s, both face-to-face and over the telephone, ensuring they are welcomed, directed to where they need to be, and that any queries they have are dealt with.

What do you do to relax? Pre-Covid it would be a nice meal out with friends in an oldie worldie  pub in the countryside, or a sun-lounger somewhere hot with a good book (fingers crossed one day soon!).

Describe yourself in 3 words: Talks a lot!!!!!

What song is guaranteed to get you on your feet, and why? That’s a tricky one. Too many to choose, but ya can’t beat the 70s disco era – a multi-coloured dancefloor and a bit of nostalgic John Travolta dancing!
