Menopause Clinic
At St Hugh’s Hospital, we believe in individualised care, addressing every aspect of your journey through perimenopause and menopause.
We’re committed to supporting you through every stage of menopause, providing compassionate care and advice.
Menopause isn’t just about the end of menstrual cycles; it’s a transformative journey, marked by perimenopause and post-menopause stages. While the average age of menopause in the UK is 51, every woman’s experience is unique. For some, menopause arrives prematurely, affecting 1 in 100 women before the age of 40.
The depletion of oestrogen during menopause brings about a multitude of changes, from irregular periods to hot flushes, night sweats, mood swings, and beyond. These symptoms, while common, can significantly impact your life. That’s why, at St Hugh’s Hospital, we’re dedicated to providing you with the information and support you need to manage them effectively.
From lifestyle adjustments to medical interventions, we offer a range of treatments tailored to your specific needs. Whether it’s hormonal or non-hormonal therapies, or pharmaceutical or non-pharmaceutical approaches, our team is here to guide you through every step of your journey.
For those facing premature menopause, our experts specialise in diagnosing and managing POI, ensuring that you receive the care and support you need to navigate this challenging condition.
Beyond symptom management, we prioritise your long-term health, addressing concerns such as bone health, sexual wellness, and contraception options tailored to your stage of life.
While HRT is commonly used for menopause management, we understand that it may not be the right choice for everyone. That’s why we offer a comprehensive overview of alternatives to HRT, ensuring that you have all the information you need to make informed decisions about your health.
45 minute consultations are £250 and follow-up appointments are £120 for 30 mins.
