James Haeney is a NHS Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand surgeon who also specializes in Cosmetic surgery. He is clinical lead Plastic Surgeon at Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS trust and treats patients from across East Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
James undertakes all aspects of Plastic and cosmetic surgery and is committed to delivering high quality surgery in the safest possible environment.. His private practice is undertaken at St Hugh’s hospital in Grimsby, the Spire Hospital in Hull and Clifton Park Hospital in York.
James studied medicine at Cambridge University and finished his training at Oxford University in 1997. He subsequently undertook surgical training in Oxford and Nottingham before specializing in Plastic surgery and spent a further 7 years training as a Plastic Surgeon in Yorkshire and the Midlands. He was awarded the Ian McGregor medal for outstanding performance in the 2008 national Plastic Surgery examinations. James then undertook specialist fellowships in hand surgery at internationally renowned units in Derby and Leeds before taking up one of the first specialist cosmetic surgery fellowships in Nottingham and Leicester in 2010. He subsequently served for 2 years on the training interface group in Cosmetic surgery for the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
