Miss Noemi Kelemen

FRCS (Plast)

Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon

Miss Noemi Kelemen is a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at HMT St Hugh’s Hospital in Grimsby. She is a UK-trained plastic surgeon specialising in head and neck reconstructive surgery at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, and offers a full range of aesthetic and reconstructive procedures. She is Quality Improvement Lead at her NHS trust and has over fifteen years of experience in plastic surgery. She is a female plastic surgeon, which some patients specifically look for.

Reconstructive surgery and cosmetic surgery are more closely related than people assume. Rebuilding a face after skin cancer surgery and reshaping one for aesthetic reasons draw on the same understanding of anatomy, tissue and how scars behave. Miss Kelemen’s NHS work is head and neck reconstruction, which is among the most technically demanding areas of plastic surgery, and that experience informs her private practice.

About Miss Kelemen

Miss Kelemen is a UK-trained Consultant Plastic Surgeon specialising in head and neck reconstructive surgery at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Her NHS practice includes skin cancer surgery and free flap reconstruction, a technique in which tissue is transferred from one part of the body to another with its blood supply reconnected under a microscope. It is among the most demanding work in plastic surgery.

Alongside this she offers a full range of private aesthetic and reconstructive procedures, covering the face, breast and body, as well as hand surgery and the removal of skin lesions.

She has over fifteen years of experience in plastic surgery. She has published research in internationally recognised medical journals and presents regularly at national and international conferences.

She is Quality Improvement Lead at Hull University Teaching Hospitals, a role concerned with the safety and consistency of clinical care across the trust, and she plays an active part in training the next generation of plastic surgeons.

Care, compassion and patient safety are central to her practice. She and her team aim to make sure every patient feels supported, listened to and involved at each stage, from the first consultation through to recovery.
