Mr Kishore Sasapu is a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon at HMT St Hugh’s Hospital in Grimsby, with more than twelve years of experience as a consultant. He is a laparoscopic general and colorectal surgeon, treating hernias, gallbladder problems, haemorrhoids and other bowel and bottom conditions, inflammatory bowel disease, and performing diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy. He also holds an NHS post at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital.

A large part of his work involves conditions people put off mentioning. Haemorrhoids, anal fissures, a change in bowel habit, a hernia that has been getting slowly worse for a year. None of these get better by being ignored, and most of them are far more straightforward to treat than people fear. Mr Sasapu deals with them matter-of-factly, and does as much as possible by keyhole surgery so that recovery is quicker and less painful.

His practice is built around laparoscopic, or keyhole, surgery. He performs laparoscopic gallbladder removal, laparoscopic and open inguinal hernia repair, laparoscopic incisional hernia repair and abdominal wall reconstruction, and laparoscopic colorectal resections including surgery for inflammatory bowel disease.
