Covid measures still in place
As the Government’s latest Plan B Covid curbs are eased in England, precautions against the spread of the virus remain very much in place within St Hugh’s Hospital.
From today, the use of face coverings and Covid passes have been lifted. However, we’d like to remind you that we are keeping stringent precautions – including face coverings and social distancing – in place for everyone’s safety and wellbeing.
As reported, we are proud to be a designated super green site – meaning we can safely undertake elective surgical procedures for patients who do not have coronavirus.
Like many, we have adapted the way we operate during the Covid-19 pandemic, following advice and guidance from the Royal College of Physicians, NHS England, and the UK Government, to limit the number of people in the hospital and ensure social distancing.
Covid-19 is still with us, and It’s vital that both in-patients and out-patients feel reassured and comfortable while visiting the site, in the knowledge that everything possible is being done to keep everyone safe. This includes staff, too: we wear full PPE; all of us – that’s all staff and our consultants – are regularly tested for Covid-19; we frequently have our temperatures taken; and we have had additional training on coronavirus safety.
We are also proud to support the #NotTooMuchToMask national campaign to help stop the spread of coronavirus from the NHS Confederation. It is about making choices that help us all work together to help minimise the spread of coronavirus.
This applies to other infections, too – keep an eye out soon for more on what else our Infection Control Team works hard to keep at bay.
