Mr Pacheco has been a consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust since 2011. After schooling in Santander (Spain), he qualified from Cantabria University Medical School in 1994. He undertook his Basic Surgical Rotation in Yorkshire followed by a period of research at Sheffield University. He undertook his higher surgical training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in the Sheffield and Yorkshire Regional Orthopaedic Training Programmes. He undertook fellowships in Sports Injuries in Bradford and knee surgery in Leicester.

The majority of his work consists of knee surgery and sports injuries of the lower limb. He commonly performs knee replacement (total and partial), revision knee surgery, patellofemoral surgery (knee cap) including replacement and stabilisation procedures, complex arthroscopic (keyhole) knee ligament reconstruction and meniscal repair, cartilage procedures and sports injuries surgery. His NHS practice also consists of a wide repertoire of trauma surgery and hip replacement surgery. He has been involved in research and published in orthopaedic and trauma journals and has regularly presented at national and international meetings.
