Mr Fenton is Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in lower limb surgery including hip replacement (primary and revision), knee replacement (total and partial) and arthroscopic surgery of the knee. Trained at the Hull York Medical School, qualifying in 2008, he completed his specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedics on the Yorkshire rotation.
Among other achievements he has a MSc degree from the University of Edinburgh and gained Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2020. This was followed by a specialist fellowship in lower limb arthroplasty at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital in Glasgow, including training in robotic hip and knee replacement.
In addition to elective surgery, Mr Fenton has busy trauma surgery practice at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Trust with an interest in fracture around hip replacements. He publishes regularly and takes a keen interest in service and quality improvement. He is also an Advanced Trauma Life Support course instructor, training other doctors to manage major traumatic injuries. In his spare time, he is a keen motorcyclist and works as a medic at the famous Isle of Man TT races.
