Mr Daniel Omonbude is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at HMT St Hugh’s Hospital in Grimsby, specialising in lower limb joint replacement and revision surgery. About Mr Omonbude

Mr Omonbude qualified from the University of Ibadan in Nigeria in 1997 and came to the UK, where he completed his basic surgical training in Leeds. He continued on the orthopaedic higher surgical training programme with the Yorkshire Deanery, spending time in Scunthorpe, Grimsby and Hull hospitals, which means he has worked in this area for a substantial part of his career.

He obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2010, and went on to complete a fellowship in lower limb arthroplasty and revision surgery at Nottingham University Hospital. Revision surgery involves redoing a joint replacement that has failed, worn out or loosened, and it is considerably more demanding than a first-time replacement.

He is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby, and is an Advanced Trauma Life Support provider.

His hip and knee replacement activity is recorded on the National Joint Registry, the independent national database of joint replacement surgery in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man.
